Hey everybody, sorry I haven't been around for a few days! I had finals week in college the past week and then attended my girlfriend's graduation ceremony.
Anyways, onto the card! This card was from back on May 8th and is called Rolling Fog.
The first thing I noticed when looking at this card was the artwork! Man, that looks awesome! The second thing you'll notice is that it has a new keyword, Dissapate.
Cards with the Dissapate trait are only in play for a finite amount of turns before they are destroyed. In Rolling Fog's case, it stays in play for 3 turns.
This card gives all objects and zones in the entire arena the Obscured trait. This means that they can only be targeted from 1 zone away, no more. Many of the cards in Mage Wars have a range of 0-2, and this card means that they have to be closer to their target in order to be cast.
This will also have a huge impact on the Druid in particular. Because this card obscures zones, it means that she cannot cast spells through her vine markers that aren't adjacent to her. This will really slow down aggro Druid spellbooks. She can still cast the vine markers themselves, but cannot cast a Vine card through them.
Overall I think this is a decent card, but a bit expensive unless you are an Air Wizard. 4 spellbook points for a card that you will only use in certain situations seems expensive to me, but maybe I'll be proven wrong, as I have been so many times before. Let me know what you think of the card in the comments, and I'll see you in the arena!
